"The general rule of thumb is to get at least 3 quotes before beginning any remodel. We were so impressed with Amir Levy from HQR that we chose to forgo this advice. Amir was the second contractor we reached out to, but we knew within the first 15 minutes of our consultation that we wanted him to lead our remodel. As it was our first time doing a full house remodel, we really had no idea what to expect. The first contractor we spoke to made grandiose claims about what they could accomplish and how easy everything would be as well as pressured us to sign a rushed and inaccurate SOW, all of which gave us bad vibes. In contrast, Amir was refreshingly realistic about the process of going through a full remodel, including going over with us all of our available options with the pros and cons of each option; what to consider and expect during each stage of the remodel; and typical remodeling challenges. After our consultation, he sent us a very detailed SOW within the promised time frame. As we were reviewing the SOW, he encouraged us to ask questions and be upfront with him about all of our concerns. Whatever concerns we had prior to signing the contract, he was able to address honestly and without any sugarcoating. We truly felt that he had our best interests in mind and wanted us to make the right decision for our home and family, regardless of who we went with. We ultimately signed with HQR because we felt that we could trust Amir. Amir understands full house remodels very well which made the entire process overall stress free for us. If we had questions about any phase, Amir was able to answer them; if he didnt have the answers, he would search for them and get back to us. He also has a list of recommended vendors for each major phase. While he didnt require us to go with his vendors, we ended up going with them 99 of the time because it greatly simplified things for us. We know we were not the easiest clients due to our perfectionist tendencies. However, Amir is also a perfectionist himself, and this is reflected in the quality of work that he delivered. No large project is completely without challenges so what matters to us is how those challenges are addressed. If there was ever a mistake in the work, he would have his workers fix it to his very high standards, no questions asked. There were even many instances where he pointed out and corrected mistakes that we would have never caught ourselves which is a reflection of his integrity and dedication to delivering quality work. As we progressed in the project and had a better idea of our remaining budget, we added several change orders. Amir made the change order process very straightforward by giving us reasonable quotes with full clarity on what would be included and excluded. We never felt like we had to negotiate with him, and there were never surprises about something not being covered. In summary, we feel very fortunate to have crossed paths with Amir Levy. He is honest, hardworking, dependable, and passionate about his work. He keeps all of his promises no matter how large or small. Thanks to him, we went from having an outdated, mostly original 1970s home to what we finally feel is a beautiful home that reflects our family. We receive compliments from EVERYONE who visits. If you are looking to have a remodel done, I cannot recommend Amir more. He will prove himself to you over and over again."

"We are exceptionally thankful for Amir Levy of HQR, who managed our dream project from start to successful completion - maintaining schedule and cost of his original estimates. We doubled the size 1300 sf of our home by expanding the first floor and adding a second. As part of the overall plan, he made our entire home beautiful by also updating the existing kitchen and bathrooms. We would work with him again, and want to share our enthusiasm for him and the results Amir achieved for us. Before we met Amir, we had contacted a few other companies, none of which could provide a comprehensive approach. Contractors told us, "go get a plan and I will build it" and architects, "I will draw what you request but no idea what it will cost to build". This project was a once-in-a-lifetime event for us, on a fixed budget, and we had no experience with such a large undertaking. We were lost until we met Amir. When we started we thought Amir's proposal was a good value, but by the end of the project, having a full appreciation for everything he did, we are delighted that it was an exceptional value. Amir scoped out what HQR would handle directly - and offered us choices to collaborate with his referrals to architects, engineers, designers, and providers of major finish materials like windows doors, cabinets countertops. An extremely valuable aspect of his referrals was their track records and his approach to "own and drive" these engagements for the best results for our project. We chose to proceed with each of his referrals and are very satisfied with Amir's direct involvement and the outcomes. This not only saved us time and stress, but also maximized communication between all involved making it easy to confer for collaboration and adjustments when needed. Amir was in frequent contact with us throughout the project, keeping us up to date on his progress as well as proactively advising us of time frames in which we needed to make project decisions, and to select and purchase finish materials. Most importantly, on the rare occasions of unexpected roadblocks or mistakes, he let us know right away and found a path to resolution. It's clear to us, Amir always chose what was right versus what was easy, demonstrating his integrity throughout our project."

"We chose Home Quality Remodeling for a full remodel of a kitchen and three bathrooms. Amir Levy was the project manager assigned. He has two exceptional qualities. First, he is fair and complete in his quotes. I had quotes from eight contractors. Amir was the only one who included everything in the quote. There was nothing missing that was discovered later. We had a partially rotted wall that was discovered after the kitchen wall was opened, and his additional charge was very reasonable. Second, he cares deeply about quality. When one of his workers made a mistake, or if we had a misunderstanding, he fixed it. No extra charge. He is experienced, and gave great advice on what options we had for designs and materials, without pushing for any particular one. He helped find better alternatives to my design ideas several times. The kitchen designer worked with us to quickly turn our ideas into a design that we love, a year later. Amirs workers were generally highly skilled. In a couple of cases, they were not up to Amirs quality standards, and were quickly replaced. His good relationships with the city and inspectors really helped get the paperwork done. Im certain that working with Amir and Home Quality Remodeling led to a much better result than I would have had with other contractors."

"Amir Levy from HQR worked with me on my interior home remodel. I had a great experience working with him and his team. This was a very large scale project and I was put at ease given his knowledge and experience. I hired a couple of other contractors before Amir and HQR that I wasnt satisfied with. As a result I had to part ways and was left with a shell of a house and unfinished designsblueprints. When Amir Levy and HQR earned the job multiple aspects of the project were very off that his team were left with. His team came in and made the necessary changes and improvements to make sure my needs were met. From start to finish his team was professional and very helping in accommodating all of my requests. There were a few challenges that arose and we were able to overcome them. For example HQR uncovered asbestus, change orders I requested, plumbing and electrical factors that were all met professionally and timely. To sum up my experience his team excelled at adjustments or changes to the scope help with design and recommendations additions or change orders solving problems or unforeseen issues customer service before during and after completion All in all HQRs team will be sure to meet all of your needs and that youre more than happy with the results. "HQR, and specifically our project manager Amir Levy, was so good that this is the first time I have wished I could leave a 6-star review. I'll give specifics below, but the bottom line is that they are honest and reliable, they communicate well, and they do incredibly high-quality work on even complicated projects. We hired HQR to demolish an unpermitted addition that was built by the previous owners, then build a new legal addition in its place. The new addition needed to connect two different existing rooflines and intersected multiple load-bearing walls. Highlights: 1 This was our first time doing a major remodel, and we had a lot to learn. Amir went above and beyond helping us identify and resolve potential problems early, patiently answering all of our questions, and explaining our options when a decision needed to be made. 2 Once we had architectural drawings, HQR gave us a quote and stuck to it. Over the entire lifetime of the project, HQR never once added an unreasonable surprise fee. There were also a few extras we voluntarily added to the scope, such as updating our guest bath and creating a laundry closet, and HQR always gave us reasonable prices for adding them. 3 Amir aimed for perfection as if this were his own house. If a mistake was ever made by HQR or one of their subcontractors, Amir had it fixed quickly, no questions asked. The end result is a beautiful addition that looks exactly as we had imagined it. Finally, we learned a really important lesson on this project. We hired our own architect before meeting HQR, and this was a mistake. Using a separate architect created a lot of headaches for us and ultimately ended up costing us more money and delays than if we had used an architect hired by HQR. We plan to hire HQR again in a few years to redo our kitchen, and we will definitely use their in-house architects and designers for that project."
