The Story Behind All Wood ADU
The roots of All Wood ADU trace back to founder Steve, who picked up his first hammer at just 17 years old. By 2003, he had earned his general contractor license in Alaska, building a wide variety of residential and commercial projects. In 2012, he established All Wood Construction, LLC in Vancouver, Washington — a company that quickly earned a reputation as the fastest, quality framing company in the area. Steve and his team collaborated with highly regarded builders such as Glavin Homes and Cano Real Estate, contributing to numerous custom homes featured in the Parade of Homes.
In 2023, Steve and his life partner Amanda relocated to Boise, Idaho to be closer to family. Finding themselves in a modest 800-square-foot home on a lot four times its size, the conversation around ADUs naturally arose when a neighbor expressed frustration with her own ADU's framing process. That moment of inspiration led Steve and Amanda to launch All Wood ADU — combining decades of framing expertise, construction knowledge, and a passion for innovative design to deliver outstanding accessory dwelling units throughout the Treasure Valley.
