"We went with Mark for a pretty big kitchen remodel and a room addition off the back of the house. The kitchen is what sold us, honestly, because the old layout was just terrible! Everything crammed together. Now, its open and flows into the dining area. They also built a room addition that we use as a home office. One thing I noticed is they dont rush through stuff just to move on to the next job. The framing took a bit longer than I expected but when I saw how precise everything was it made sense. Countertops were installed perfectly, cabinets are level, and all the little things lined up. Probably the best money we've spent on this house. My only regret is not doing it sooner but thats on us not them"

"First impression was good, they came out and measured everything and asked a lot of questions about what we wanted. not just like heres what we do but actually listening to how we use the house. the quote came back detailed which i appreciated because other ones were vague. once construction started things moved pretty steady. there were a couple weeks where weather slowed the exterior work down near South Elgin but they adjusted and kept the indoor stuff going. the crew was organized, showed up early most days. quality of the actual build is solid - the addition walls are straight, trim is tight, doors close properly. sounds basic but ive seen bad work before. the final result is a big open living space connected to our kitchen and it looks like it was always part of the house"

"Our basement had been sitting unfinished for close to twelve years. It was just concrete walls and exposed ductwork, basically a storage dump we threw stuff into and forgot about. We finally decided to actually do something with it because we needed more living space but didn't want to move. Mark Home Builders came out and measured everything, then put together a layout that included a small family room area and a guest bedroom with an egress window. One thing that helped was that they handled the design side too so we weren't bouncing between separate companies trying to get plans drawn up. The framing and drywall went up faster than I expected, and they coordinated the electrical and plumbing so nothing held up the schedule. Now it actually feels like a real part of the house instead of a cold concrete box. My only regret is waiting as long as we did to get it done."
