"Loren Wood Builders is a very good company in my opinion. My wife and I have been wanting to remodel the kitchen since the day we moved in and about 30 years later we realized we werent going to do it ourselves and so we began asking around about what company or person we could look at to do the remodel. We had hired people to do work on the house several times but were not satisfied each time. Mostly because toward the end of the project they just left and never returned to finish up. I always had to finish it myself and each time I learned that I know nothing about carpentry. People gave us names and companies that were good but we kept hearing the name Loren Woods Builders. We decided to contact LWB and liked the people we talked to, found out they like old houses and buildings and were interested in our project. Everyone in the company are very good at their job, are creative, do designing and were willing to listen to our ideas. It was expensive but well worth the money and as it turned out made it much easier for us to get what we wanted. A big plus was that we liked everyone that came out to work on the house. I was so glad to meet people that were organized and were knowledgeable about what they do. I cant tell you enough times how organized everyone is and how great it was working with them. Some of the design ideas didnt quite work out but the designer was very willing to listen to what we didnt like and what we did like about the design. The whole project went like that. I am embarrassed to say that some things that I rejected were actually way better than what I thought I wanted. Not many things but a few. When we paint the front porch again I want to paint it the color that Alyssa the designer suggested and that I rejected. She was right and I was wrong. Anyway, thats what her job was, to design what we wanted. Too bad we didnt really know what we wanted but we got an incredible Kitchen and front porch that I could not be happier with. It was a great experience having LWB do the project and both Elizabeth and I love how it turned out. And that we are still married. So many people have had their marriages fall apart during a remodel or add on to a house. I remember my mom and dad getting in very heated arguments trying to figure out what they wanted an addition to look like. We didnt face any of that and I think LWB had something to do with that too, just by how they work and listen and get out there and work on each project. "We recently had an extensive remodel with LWB and let me tell you that they did an amazing job. We have lived in an old house for 10 years that we love but was in need of repair. We replaced 2 bathrooms, new windows, doors, new screened in porch and outside living area. One of the selling points of LWB was the in house architecture and design team that work with you every step of the way to get the best final project. When comparing outside design and architecture pricing, LWB value quickly became apparent. Loren has top carpenters, painters, and builders on staff that quickly turned the blueprints into reality. In addition to the main project, Joel our project manager was happy to tackle any punch list items that needed done in the house. "Loren Wood Builders recently completed a fairly large renovation and we couldn't be happier with how it turned out. From the beginning, Loren was very responsive, open, and helpful. As we started in on the project it quickly became evident that the people at Loren Wood Builders are something special. Every single person we worked with, from the project manager, to the carpenters, to the painters, and the electricians were polite, helpful, and committed to doing the job right. For the things that Loren's crew doesn't do in-house, he's clearly selected subcontractors that share his focus on quality and customer service. On a big project there will always be small mistakes or unexpected challenges. The way a contractor deals with those challenges says a lot about them and Loren's team sets the bar high. Without fail, the message we received when we raised a worry or issue was not to stress about it and that they would make it right - which they did. At the end of the project Loren walked through for a final inspection and found a handful of small things that weren't done to his satisfaction. They were minor things I might not even have noticed but Loren quickly had someone out to get them fixed. His and his team's commitment to quality is evident. Working with Loren Wood Builders was the right decision for us. Our house looks great, the experience was good, and we met some really cool, fun people along the way."
