The project was ambitious: building a boutique-hotel style ground-floor suite for my mother-in-law, complete with an en-suite ADA-compliant bathroom and roll-in shower, while also extending our master bedroom with a two-story addition. His team were an absolute pleasure to have around. Respectful of our space and timing, they also brought unexpected kindnessone contractor, whom we nicknamed Snow White, rescued baby birds during bush removal and later helped us protect a nest of baby bunnies from our very curious dog. The workmanship was solid throughout, inspections and permits were handled seamlessly, and the project was completed a full two months earlier than expected. "My experience with Taylor Made was great from beginning to end. The whole job of widening doorways for a wheelchair took a week and three workmen were involved. Everyone from the first phone call to the last screw in place was professional, nice and approachable.. I was especially glad when they had to change directions to accommodate my needs. Kevin was on the scene frequently and I felt I could make even more changes if I needed to and if it was possible. People who come into the house are impressed with the job. "I had Taylor Made do a major kitchen renovation, including building a custom fireplace in the dining room and replacing the flooring in the kitchen, dining room, hallways and laundry room. It was the largest update Ive ever had done in my home. Of course, I had some concerns - would I be able to work from home as usual during the reno? Would I be comfortable with contractors working in my home for an extended time period? But my worries disappeared after the first day. I was able to work from home and Steve and Doug were so polite and personable, they became like friends. Both have an exceptional work ethic and always arrived each morning promptly at 7:30 AM. They were focused on the tasks at hand and when a few issues happened, they quickly communicated them to me and kept me informed until the issues were resolved. When the workday was over, they always cleaned up before leaving. They both have years of home renovation experience and are talented at what they do. Kevin showed up at least twice a week to monitor the progress. During a discussion on the custom fireplace, Kevin suggested dark wood trim on each side and combined with my idea of floor to ceiling stone veneer, the end result exceeded my expectations. Also, when a big box store didnt deliver the stone veneer, Kevin drove to the store to pick it up. He also suggested adding crown molding and casing the entry ways to the kitchen and laundry room which created a more finished look. Taylor Made delivers in more than one aspect! Im extremely pleased with the result. Taylor Made gave me my dream kitchen and dining room."
