Riverside Cabins: Cabin Designs and Construction
Riverside Cabins offers a range of cabin models designed to suit different lifestyles, lot configurations, and aesthetic preferences. Based in Great Falls, Montana, they provide both fully finished cabins and cabin shells, giving buyers flexibility in how they approach their build.
Each cabin model has its own distinct character, layout, and set of features. Below is an overview of the models currently available through Riverside Cabins.
Cabin Models Available
Teton Cabin
The Teton is Riverside Cabins' newest design, built around a modern aesthetic with clean lines and a flexible layout. It includes a spacious master suite with a private door that opens directly onto a dedicated deck, offering a degree of separation and privacy within the home.
Yellowstone Cabin
The Yellowstone follows a ranch-style layout and features a 6'x20' covered A-frame porch, typically centered on the building. This placement puts the great room in the middle, with bedrooms on either end. The design avoids hallways to make efficient use of floor space. The combined great room and kitchen area, along with a vaulted ceiling, creates a central gathering space. Windows on the wider side of the cabin allow for views of the surrounding landscape.
Bitterroot Cabin
The Bitterroot is notable for its front-facing double gable entrance, created by a 6-foot deep porch. The layout places the living room, kitchen, and dining area toward the front of the home, while bathrooms and bedrooms are situated at the rear.
Stillwater Cabin
The Stillwater features a full-width, gable-end front porch that spans the entire front of the structure. The kitchen and great room are positioned at the front with ample windows and doors to take advantage of outdoor views.
Madison Cabin
The Madison is a smaller variation of the Stillwater model, retaining similar features in a more compact footprint. Its triangular front gives it an alpine chalet appearance. Large front-facing windows allow natural light into the kitchen and living room.
The Yaak
The Yaak takes a more contemporary approach, incorporating a single-slope roofline and minimalistic design principles. Windows are strategically positioned to bring in natural light and frame scenic views. The layout prioritizes functional, efficient use of interior space.
Cabin Shells
In addition to their complete cabin models, Riverside Cabins also offers cabin shells. A cabin shell refers to the basic structural framework and outer structure of a cabin, built before any interior finishes or additional features are added. This option is suited to buyers who want to complete the interior themselves or work with other contractors to finish the space according to their own specifications.
Cabin shells are a practical starting point for those looking to manage costs or customize the interior independently. The shell provides the foundational structure, ready for further development.
Riverside Cabins operates Monday through Friday, from 8AM to 4PM, and is located along Vaughn South Frontage Road in Great Falls, Montana.
