"We feel compelled to share our experience with Tilyou Homes Brad Tilyou regarding our kitchen renovation and living room upgrade that was just completed this Spring. Late last year 2023, we decided to complete structural renovations within our home and upgrade our kitchenliving room layout simultaneously. We knew we had a difficult job we were working with a relatively tight budget and a strict timeline. We interviewed several contractors but immediately knew Brad and his subcontractors were the most qualified for the job. His building and design experience and portfolio of finished projects and renovations were a deciding factor for us. Prior to our project kickoff, we first met to discuss the scope of the project, what permits were needed, and Brad created several options for us as a part of the design that ultimately saved us quite a bit of money. At the end of the meeting, Brad carefully went over the individual and collective costs with us, so we knew where our money was allocated. The shared spreadsheet allowed us to monitor which expenses were paid, still owed etc. in real time as the project progressed. We were projected to be out of the house for roughly 5 weeks and were back home ahead of schedule. The day the project commenced, all and I mean all! demolition was completed and the area was cleaned up. A theme of a clean job site and subcontractor accountability continued throughout the entirety of the project. By the time the project was complete, each subcontractor had cleaned up after themselves so well that we didnt even need a construction clean this is unheard of!. Each subcontractor that Brad works with is professional, on-time, and knows their stuff! The main framer for our structural work sent pictures daily of his progress not to mention he was SO flexible with us when we made minor design changes along the way. Brad and his subcontractors offered reliable communication and accountability every day. The plumbing and electric contractors were efficient, affordable, and very professional completing all work within the scope of the authorized city permit. Brad walked us through the engineering consult, permitting submission, and approval process - there was not a single hiccup or question of where we stood associated with these necessary activities. Without Tilyou Homes, I dont think this project would have been completed as efficiently as it was. Now, to the final results our renovation was EXACTLY what we wanted, needed, and dreamed about! Every finishing touch was completed with such expertise and care. We now enjoy a kitchen and living room that is completely open concept - bringing our 20 year old layout to the current times! Brad and the entire Tilyou Homes Team - you have created the kitchen and living room of our dreams and there is no one else we recommend more! If you have a renovation idea or are looking to build a custom home, look no further than Brad Tilyou!"
