"We hired Black Dog to build a master suite bedroom, full bath, walk in closet along with removing a huge chimney and replacing with a gas fireplace. The team was quite amazing across the board: design, build, estimated timeline for completion, communication and execution. Melissa was extremely helpful with us and created multiple different designs for us to envision, all of which were different than what we were originally planning, and all of them better. As we settled on a final design, Melissa provided a detailed quote and went through it all line by line with us to ensure we had clarity and had opportunities to ask questions, adjustedit, etc. Upon signing, Sebastian was assigned as our lead carpenter that would be dedicated to our project for the entire duration. He was extremely friendly, knowledgeable and meticulous when it comes to details. Sebastian was with us every day and kept everything on schedule. As with any project, unforeseen issues arise, and when they did Sebastian took every one of them with ease and creativity. He is an on-the-spot problem solver and only pursues top quality solutions, no cutting corners, which was amazing to see. He is passionate about his work and cares about the craftsmanship that it represents. Jason was our project manager throughout, helping to ensure proper alignment and timing of the different stepsphases of the project. "A few years back, my wife advised me that she was weary of cleaning snow and ice from her auto before going to work. This request began my association with Black Dog builders. We asked for a garage to be connected to our farmers porch via a breeze way. Due to code issues in order to access our propane tanks it had to remain open and the difference in elevations had to be accounted for. Additionally the emergency generator panel had to be installed next to the new main switch in the garage. We worked with John Nicholson on the design, and were very happy, with photos of the design and final work appearing below. Needless to say, we are extremely happy with the superb materials and the workmanship. Oh, yes, my wife remains very very happy. And, of course, she uses the parking spot closest to the house. Id have it no other way!"

"We hired Blackdog to design and renovate our kitchen. Our designer, Melissa, worked with us over a period of several months to get our design to exactly where we wanted it - and we are thrilled with the results. Once the design was complete and the schedule set, Blackdog went into action. Jason was our project manager and met with us on-site once a week to make sure the project stayed on track and was meeting our expectations. Our lead carpenter was Dave; his work was excellent. He was punctual and was forward thinking, avoiding potential issues. The subcontractors that Blackdog selected were excellent - particularly the plumbers, electricians, and drywallers. Everyone on-site was respectful and helpful answering our questions along the way. Another important plus was Blackdog and all subcontractors cleaned up the project site daily. This was particularly important since we remained in the house for the entire renovation and our kitchen is located right in the middle of the house. Our project was completed on schedule and on budget. Their work is excellent, and their process is very effective. All in all, it was a good experience."
