"They are a very unreliable company. Matt Anderson came to our home for a free consultation. He then disappeared with no further communication. When we reached back out he said he was going to get back in touch with us for next steps on Wednesday next week, we messaged him on Wednesday, it is now Friday and we haven't heard anything back. They only have 12 reviews for a reason! DO NOT choose this contractor if you want timeliness and reliable communication."

"Done a renovation of a home including bathroom and kitchen complete renewal by Home Improvement Team of Richmond about a year ago. Paying a high price, expected some reasonable quality of work. But, got a poor workmanship with cheap materials used. Newly replaced faucet worked only for a year. And, the newly painted bathroom ceilings, started pealing off as shown in the picture in less than year. Never ever again engage this contractor. And, not recommended for anyone. Update: Bathroom ceiling issue is fixed by the contractor and looks okay so far. Updated the rating accordingly."

"We have been working with the Home Improvement Team of Richmond for the last year. We're absolutely OVER JOYED with our experience. They did an incredible job for us. We are no strangers to renovations and have used several different companies over the years. We are so glad we found HIT so we no longer have to search for another company. They are our forever renovation team. We had a series of projects completed with them over the last year. They changed the entrance to our attic from one bedroom to another, they built us a new closet and gave us added crawl space, they helped us get a new roof, and they helped us complete our "conditioned storage space" in our attic. To start, we enjoyed working with the owner, Ken, who helped bring our vision to life. He provided solutions, creative ideas, and a fair price comparable to other quotes we got. We then worked with their vetted architect to help us get drawings made. From there, we were connected with Seth, Will and Grace. Everyone was truly customer-focused and a pleasure to work with. I will sing Will's praises from the roof that he helped get installed. Will is a contracting magician. He was friendly, responsive, and positive. He had a creative solution to every obstacle we encountered. He had ideas we didn't even think of. He listened to us and made sure everything made us happy. He helped make decisions when I was decision-fatigued. He made sure the spaces and projects were done to where he'd be happy to have them. We have several more projects to complete and we will 100 be using HIT and request Will as our project manager each time. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU to Ken, Seth, Grace and most importantly, Will. We will enjoy these spaces for years to come."

"To say our experience with HIT was amazing is an understatement! The Home Improvement Team replaced our backdoor after the bottom had completely rotted out. They came out to give us the initial quote and thoroughly explained the process for the replacement and why they thought a specific door would be appropriate for the space. After getting a handful of quotes from other contractors the HIT stood out by a mile - they are professional, friendly, and they're very transparent about their process. Once we selected them to do the replacement they called every Wednesday to give us a status update on the door order. The team came out a few days before the door arrived to make sure their entire team was on the same page about each step of the install and to ensure they had all of the necessary supplies. The door install went incredibly smoothly and was done in a day. We will absolutely be using the HIT for future projects and have already asked them about redoing our bathroom. Their team is so refreshingly honest and transparent."
