"After moving into my new home, I knew it needed a lot of help but had no idea how to get there. I've been working with Harding Design and Construction for about 6 months now as we go through the plans and permitting process with the city. Although this has been extremely confusing on my end HDC makes this stage of the project very easy going and takes all the pressure off me. Wes has been great about listening to what I was looking for, as well as, working within the budget parameters I had in mind. He's been extremely organized, very responsive, and most importantly, fantastic at helping me narrow down choices. Would absolutely recommend."

"You cannot go wrong with Wes and his team! We built a new ADU in our backyard after tearing down an old 1920s garage. They did a spectacular job envisioning and communicating the project as a whole and easily broke it down to every little detail in between that you wouldnt even think of. Each contractor and sub-contractor that worked on our project was respectful of our property, friendly, detail-oriented, and left high quality results. There were some challenges during the design and construction due to the city requirments, which is expected given the scope of the project. However, the team handled these challenges very effectively and professionally. There is no doubt that I will hire Harding Design Construction again, thanks again guys!"

"Harding Construction did a roomkitchen add-on and complete kitchen remodel for us in Huntington Beach. We added on about 200 sq ft to our kitchen and did a complete gut job down to the studs. They are a designbuild firm, so it was one-stop shop from the designplanning stage all the way through permits and execution. Highly recommend this process. Communication was good and Wes is a nice, honest person. He is trustworthy and we did not have any major problems during the remodel, other than it took a bit longer than we expected. But, the Covid shut down happened in the middle of our project, so Im sure somemost but maybe not all of the delay was due to that. Its been a year since our project was completed and as more time passes we are even more happy with the result. Very high-quality, good design, and we are very happy with the final project. There were minor things here and there, but like I said earlier, no major problems. and thats saying a lot given the scope of the project and the horror stories we hear from friends and neighbors. Overall we are very satisfied with the final project and would recommend Harding Construction."

"By the time we called Harding Design and Construction, we were at the end of our rope. This was a serious a case of love it or list it. 2 adults, 2 kids, and 1 big ol dog in a very compartmentalized 1947 home was not working for us anymore. We knew we probably could not make changes to the size of our modest home, but we were convinced we could improve the flow. When it came to interviewing contractors, I was excited but still a bit gun shy because I had heard endless horror stories about dishonest contractors, sky high costs and ½ finished remodels. However, we knew very early on that Harding Design and Construction would be different. Throughout the bid process they demonstrated professionalism, consistency and open communication. We took Wes actions early on to be a sign of things to come and after meeting with 2 other contractors we signed on with Wes. I would not say our remodel was a walk in the park; of course, we ran into the inevitable problems that surface when you open the walls of an old home and remain living in the home throughout the process. Yet Wes, Mary and Aaron were with us every step of the way. I would be remiss if I did not touch on each of them for one moment: Wes is methodical and professional. He never came to us with a problem he did not already have a solution for. Aaron is one of the most meticulous workers I have ever met. He has an eagle eye for imperfections and the skill to fix them. Marys communication, design sense and ability to keep the project exciting even when if starts to feel long made me feel at ease and in control. By the time, the project was complete, what had started out as a kitchenlivingdining remodel turned into a whole house makeover! There is not a room that was not touched. I will tell you with conviction I could not be more pleased with the outcome. The functionality of our home has improved by 200. Our house now fits our needs and family perfectly. "We decided to build an accessory dwelling unit for my mom so she could be closer to our kids and no longer had the burden of taking care of her home. My moms house was just too big and hard for her to maintain and we were not visiting with her as often as we would have liked. We also really needed someone we could trust at home with my kids until we came home from work. So we built a new ADU in my backyard from scratch, we sold my moms house, and she moved in with us. It was one of the best decisions we have ever made for our family. We wanted to work with a design build company to help keep track of costs along the way and make sure our ideas would match our budget. Going into it we knew our project would be complicated since its located in a historic district of Long Beach. We decided to hire Harding Design and Construction because Wes and his team really understood the ins-and-outs of ADUs, got back to us quickly anytime we phoned, emailed, or texted, and it was easy to see they understood our needs and goals. Harding Design and Construction provided a solid product at a reasonable price and handled all the design, permits, and construction seamlessly. Our interior designer Christy was amazing to work with. She listened to us and integrated all of our design ideas and concerns, while guiding us along. She is detailed oriented and methodical and got us every inch of storage my mom needed while freeing up space for her to work. Wes and Christy worked together to find the best design that fit our budget and our style. The renderings, construction drawings, and interior design were a tremendous help in visualizing the final product. I was really impressed with the quality, accuracy, and level of detail. They included everything from the flooring to the paint and all the little things we probably would have missed until after construction started. Mary, Arron, John, and Wes stayed in contact with us during construction. They checked in with us regularly and updated us on any progress, schedule, or changes as needed, which was not the experience I had with my last contractor who had just remodeled our bathroom. Some of the most important factors to us was the cleanliness and the scheduling and organization of the day to day construction. The daily trades and subcontractors were all amazing people, respectful, and friendly, its easy to see they maintain strong relationships with their workforce. With two young children and a dog in our house they were conscientious of keeping the job site clean and secure and our home usable since we were living there. We couldn't be happier with the overall experience and the final product speaks for itself; quality materials, professional service, and good people that looked out for our best interest. Harding Design and construction will most certainly be our first call since we plan on a room addition next. Thank you so much!!!"
