"My aunt was the one who brought me up. She is 68 now, staying alone in Florida, there is no one from the family around. I have been trying to persuade her to move closer for years. At last, she gave in but she was afraid of our house, being a burden, that sort of thing. We had an ADU constructed in our yard in Tahoe Park with A Construction. The intent was a living space that looked like her own house, not a guest room. Our project manager, Anna, really got that. SHe literally asked my aunt questions over Zoom. What type of kitchen did she want? Would she prefer a full stove or only a cooktop? Did she require grab bars? My aunt was somewhat reluctant initially but Anna gave her the feeling that her words made a difference. The construction lasted for 7 months. The workers were courteous, the site was always tidy. My aunt came over for the last walk, through and she was so overwhelmed with emotions that she could not stop crying upon seeing it. I am not exaggerating. She really cried. This place suits her perfectly. A bedroom, a nice bathroom with a walk, in shower, a tiny kitchen, a small patio where she can enjoy her morning coffee. So far, it has been 3 months that she's been here. We even have dinner together 2, 3 times a week but we also have our own separate lives. She has made friends in the neighborhood. She says it's the best decision she ever made. A did us a favor of building a house for the one we love. It's not only the matter of construction. It's something else."

"My wife and I are pretty detail oriented, and while we knew that building an ADU would test our patience, we also knew that we wanted to work with a builder who had the best reputation for working with the most high-end clients. We had a great experience with A Construction. The process is not the same as regular construction, it is more like the commissioning of a luxury product. They assign you a team, as opposed to just a person. We had a design liaison, project manager and construction manager Sergei. The pre-construction phase was especially lengthly. They created a whole virtual 3D walkthrough of the design, allowing us to experience the space and modify it before any materials had been purchased. Construction-wise, the site was pristine. Every trade showed up exactly as Sergeis schedules anticipated, and it was like they had a proprietary supply-chain construction management system that resulted in no material delays. Weekly updates were detailed reports with pictures, schedules, and videos. You might pay a large amount of money for what seems like just the absence of stress, but for us, it was the value of not have to deal with the immense amount of stress that comes with the construction process. For us, the value was in the pristine execution and the preservation of our sanity from start to finish."
