"Review of Armada Design Build Client Experience and Project Assessment Project Scope and Initial Impressions We engaged Armada Design Build for a comprehensive home remodel in Spring of 2025. The project finished in early February 2026, and we are very happy with the results. The project involved creating detailed design drawings for a complete kitchen renovation, along with replacing flooring in the living room, kitchen, dining area, family room, and powder room of a 1950s home. The scope required relocating walls, as well as updating electrical and plumbing systems. Armada has an excellent team of regular employees as well as some very good subcontractors.  Sam Poffenroth became the second project manager on our remodel. He did a great job picking up the reins from our first manager who left the company mid-project.  Sam is very hands-on.  He made the transition work and course corrected certain details so that we could finish up with satisfaction.  His orchestration of Armada employees and subcontractors was extremely competent.  He maintained excellent communication with us.  We have no hesitation in giving Sam and his trades team five stars for effort and results. The build side team addressed the design flaws with impressive craftsmanship and creative solutions, paying close attention to detail. The dedication and skill of the team stood out the drywallers, Vadim on flooring, Vlads as they are called and Yuri handling cabinet fitting and carpentry all delivered quality work. They spent a lot of time in our home and were always polite and respectful while achieving great results.  We were also highly satisfied with the professional installation of our soapstone counters and stone hearth by ATG Stone Fabricators. A star subcontractor was Ivan, our painter.  He is really an artist who went above and beyond to achieve wonderful results.  We acknowledge Robert, our electrician, who did a great job while finding ways to keep costs in line. Toward the end of the project, employee Misha while removing packaging material from our new Bosch refrigerator noticed a ding on the drawer, and Sam quickly arranged for the vendor to replace it. In short, we would rate Sam and his build team a solid five stars. The one area we cannot give such a high rating and where Armada can improve is with the design and its follow-through during the project. Our initial designer left Armada just as we were about to start work. Although we were happy with the general outlines of the design, unfortunately there were some important elements that could not be finalized until the major demolition was completed and we knew for sure what would be possible.  Losing our designer at such a critical stage caused delays and some important missed opportunities.  For example, initial measurements that were off were not caught and we wound up with a smaller, less useful cabinet next to the stove.  The initial design had called for the kitchen window to be flush with the counter.  It was the electrician who pointed out that the plan would not work due to code issues with electrical outlets. Despite these setbacks and many change orders, Armada demonstrated a strong commitment to client satisfaction. To ensure that we are happy with the products and workmanship. They coordinated with the cabinet manufacturer to replace the many panels that had color variation did not match, although this extended the project timeline. Although the project was not completed on schedule, the team consistently respected our home and maintained a tidy work environment. Any concerns or requests for adjustments we raised were addressed promptly and thoroughly. Overall, we are very pleased with the results of our remodel and would work with Armada Design Build again thanks to their expertise, dedication to customer satisfaction, and reliability."

Their team was very professional and organized throughout the entire process. The quality. and expertise by all subs was excellent and they were always courteous of our space. Our project manager, Sam was our point of contact and was always accessible by text, answering all questions and explaining each step of the work. We were kept updated daily of next steps. The craftsmanship was excellent, and the attention to detail truly shows in the finished product. They maintained a clean and safe workspace daily, which was appreciated since we were living in the house during the remodel.
