"We engaged NW Finishing, Ivan Turchik and his crew now NW Build for our master bath remodel in 2023. Each one of the men is a craftsman in his own specialty, be it tiling, plumbing, electrical work, painting, construction management or even demolition. I can honestly say that after using the bath for a year, it is my favorite room in the condo. The project was finished on time and at budget. The magnitude of the project required a complete tear down to the studs but also included a 3 week work stoppage, which Ivan and Ruvim, the construction manager, graciously built into the schedule at our request. For such a complex remodel, I advise a complete set of schematic drawings; such plans are well worth the money in that they cause you to think through all the details of the project and help avoid costly change orders and mistakes down the road. For example, we wanted to put the new shower where the old unused soaking tub was located. By the building code, tubs need only a 1.5-inch drain not the 2-inch drain required for showers. We had to revise the entire project, but thankfully while still in the planning stage. We enlarged our existing small shower that had a 2-inch drain by tearing out an existing closet. We used the tub space as a larger, better closet. By working with the NW Finishing design team, I was able to take my time to get ALL the details correct before we started construction. We went through at least a half dozen design changes. Another example, our existing electrical panel would not accommodate a new heaterfan. The NW Build electrical team solved that issue for us. We now have the best of both Icelandic and English bathrooms; a heated tile floor and a heated towel rack, without installing a new and expensive electrical panel. The electrically heated floor provides all the warmth to make our new bathroom cozy and is luxury on our bare feet. The designers also advised adding an electrical outlet for a bidet toilet seat subsequently added. The revised drawings cost a few hundred dollars instead of the thousands of dollars that change orders would have cost. A good set of drawings meant problem-free construction and left us with a room that satisfies us 100. Of course, drawings and preplanning cant answer all questions that may come up. I will add that with Ivan and Ruvim you will have hired a very experienced design and construction team. When the last-minute questions came up, I will say that 90 of the time I deferred to the contractors opinion and am super happy that I did. Sign me an extremely satisfied customer of NW Build. "Ivan and his crew care about quality all the way down to the details. We have collaborated with him on the remodel and the renovation of our home. We appreciated how willing he was to work with us on keeping elements we liked and changing out others. Bathrooms have been refreshed with mini remodels. The kitchen was updated with a large new island, new appliances, tile, lighting, and fixtures. He's updated trim, replaced doors, improved lighting, repaired exterior elements, and more. No room has been left untouched, including the garage! Then we hired him and his crew to build us a big, new, impressive deck with all the trimmings. He is not cheap, but reasonable, and worth it for the quality and service. You know he is good because we keep coming back to Ivan!"

"NW Build recently finished a down to the studs renovation of our house including a new extension, and we couldn't be happier. We did not hire a designer, because Ivan the owner was incredibly helpful in helping us choose materials, finishes, surfaces, and even design modifications, based on his vast experience. We never missed having a designer. Ruvim the project manager ensured we started the project on time, and ran it like clockwork. We requested multiple scope changes throughout the process, including moving newly built framing, changing siding, painting scope, adding new hardscaping and more. Ivan and Ruvim were incredibly courteous and helpful and accommodated EVERYTHING, with a reasonable cost. Throughout the project they kept us apprised regularly of progress, any surprises that popped up, and walked us through choices. We never felt abandoned or taken advantage of. We even really liked their in-house crew and my wife and I both got quite friendly with them - highlights include Boris, Eugene, John, and Andrei. We were really surprised to see a consistent standard of helpfulness, customer focus and service with a smile. Halfway through the project the windocalypse hit and Ivan and crew helped us out with their generator, when we couldn't procure one. We'll never forget that. For reference our scope finally included rebuilding the floor plan, new foundation and an extension, new bathroom, flooring, cabinet-building, new siding, new HVAC splits, new deck, and much more. We have been so happy that we're planning a redesign of another floor, and we won't even get competing bids this time : I've included before and after photos of the house, I am sure you can figure out which is which :. NW Build's work has changed the look of our house completely!"
